Intimate Live Josh Ritter

Josh Ritter has an outstanding new album dropping on April 11th, The Animal Years. Pre-order it from Amazon. A few of these live tracks are from this release. Read Billboards review. Josh is huge in Ireland and hopefully this release will get him the credit he deserves on this side of the pond.

These tracks come from Paste Magazine’s podcast. Hands down, Paste has one of the most intriguing podcasts out there. And if you haven’t checked out Paste yet, what are you waiting for?

This is my first time trying anything like this; so forgive me if it doesn’t sound as wonderful as it could. You can hear some tape recorder hiss/noise but try to ignore it and focus on his guitar, voice and lyrics. Josh describes the music off of The Animal Years as songs he thinks Mark Twain would have written had he been alive today.

Harrisburg
Girl In The War

Get two of the album tracks from Pitchfolk: “Thin Blue Flame” and “Girl In The War”. Pre-order it from Amazon.

Good to see another Josh Ritter post! Thanks for the tracks. I just picked up The Animal Years, and it's brilliant.
