Guilty Pleasures for Humpday ~ Dirty Little Sister?

Katie Melua reminds me of Norah Jones’ dirty little sister. Not that they are related by blood. But their musical stylings are quite similar. Same sort of piano/guitar-based bubble-smooth jazz perfect for a Sunday morning or a romantic night by candlelight.

In appearance, it seems that Katie is going for the “just had sex in the bushes” look. The messy hair. The dark almost-streaking eyeliner. The glow in her cheeks. You can practically smell the sex-sweat radiating off her body.

Or maybe I am nuts. Either way, these tunes are enjoyable in their “background music for preparing a Walnut-encrusted Turkey Breast Salad on a bed of mixed greens with a Blueberry Balsamic Vinaigrette” sort of way.
