My Favorite This Week

Swati is like a darker Kaki King. Maybe I’m just saying that because the CD case is black, is lacking color. But her songs aren’t. Her name means “birth of a star” in Hindu. And she is a star on the rise. An acoustic guitar plunker who makes some sounds you’ve never heard before. The album was produced by Shivaree’s guitarist/main-man Duke McVinnie (great name by the by). A solid listen start to finish.
Check her out.
2 O'Clock In The A.M.
Dodge (no, it’s not about Mr. My Old Kentucky Blog)
I'm On Fire (yes, it is that Springsteen song)
