Jaw Droppers

Marc, Sarah and their new baby doll Edie were in town last weekend. When ever I hear flute music, I think of Marc. So, this flute loop is for the Chi-town crew.

I love your Jaw Droppers series! I just listened to "I Dream A Highway" all the way through and was completely mesmerized.

Some of my personal favorite "Jaw Droppers" are:

*Broken Social Scene - "Last Place" (a rambling instrumental - and one of the most perfect second-to-last songs ever - from their underappreciated first album, Feel Good Lost)
*Neutral Milk Hotel - "Oh Comely" (this one came to mind immediately when I saw that you'd posted Okkervil River's "So Come Back I Am Waiting" ... I think the two songs have a similar mood of begrudging acceptance, not to mention the mournful horns in both)
*Tool - "Third Eye" (primal, tribal rhythms propel the song, which is broken up by some impressive vocal gymnastics courtesty of singer Maynard Keenan)
*Underworld - "Born Slippy (Nuxx)" (a.k.a. the bangin' song that thumps through the speakers as Renton walks away with the bag of money at the end of Trainspotting)
