My Favorite Song This Week

I read the Harp review of Jenn Grant’s album: Orchestra for the Moon and was intrigued. The next day, I got an email from her PR person. What serendipity!

The leadoff single for the album is below. A good representation of what the release sounds like: a mix of Jenny Lewis vocals (solo work, not with band) and well-orchestrated music. Jenn’s not afraid to pepper the songs with music boxes or bells or lush violins.

Besides “Dreamer”, I recommend her duet with Ron Sexsmith (In A Brown House).
