Are those posted in the order of guilt or the order of pleasure?
I'd go with The Pierces, I think.
Are you sure you didn't mix this up with your ten hottest list. No one on there I'd feel guilty about.
now i feel guilty about feeling guilty...
The Duke
Why are all your guilty pleasures female singers? Are you ashamed of liking female vocalists?
Really nice blog you've got here...just found it today!
Consider yourself linked :o)
It'd be great if you could visit my blog and see if it is worth returning the favour...but no hassle.
If you look in the archive, you'll find a lot more music-related stuff, i.e. beyond the front page.
Nice making your acquaintance...I shall return.
Divinyl.
OK--I know that they are not guilty pleasures because they are women. You have introduced me to more great female musicians than the blog Womenfolk. However, I do wonder, what makes these singers a guilty pleasure? There is only one that I consider to be less talented and selling albums by using her looks (and I will not say which one). Actually, Sylvie Lewis' album is definitely in my top 20 albums of the year.
Oh, come off it, Anonymous, Colbie Caillat is wonderful.
In fact, in that list, Caillat is a contender for the Chick-with-guitar (probably)-pop-album of 2007 award.
A Fine Frenzy is a contender for the the Chick-with-guitar (probably)-folkish-album of 2007 award.
And Miranda Lambert has the entire country section sewn-up.
As always, Duke, great stuff.
I love that Song by Steely Dan - Duke would not however - he does not get the Dan and thinks I'm a pervert for liking them.
-Coconut
Aaaah, that would explain why the Duke doesn't link to me: he's scared of what ungettable Dan stuff I might have on my blog, he won't even risk taking a look. (insert a smiley of your choice here)
Well, I do like Wilco.
Hey, wait a minute. I believe you're missing the Pipettes on this awesome list.
