Random Friday ∞ Wayback Friday

So I got this CD in the mail the other day and was blown away. The crazy thing about it – came out in 2006. What better way to feature it on The Late Greats than on a Random Friday that masquerades as a Wayback Wednesday?
Amy Speace plays Ag Rock – which I blogged about before. Her voice reminds me of Dar Williams meets Barbara Cohen. Her music is somewhere between Asheville and Nashville. Her lyrics are witty, clever and well written.
My only complaint about the album – Songs for Bright Street – are the ballads. The uptempo numbers are perfect gems to be enjoyed for years to come. The ballads sounds a little forced to me.
She is doing a spring tour, check dates below. It starts today.
