i'll be damned if i can find a copy, but the Muppets actually did a pretty kick ass version of this. Robin, Kermit's nephew, did the vocals. i seem to recall it taking place in a forest.
I love the Sergio Mendes version of this classic.
Band of Joy, Robert Plant's pre Zeppelin group did a recording on a demo album that is rather superb.
How'd you miss Tab Benoit's superb version on "Power of the Pontchartrain"?!?
i like the second one better... the vocals are so wonderful AND the pace on the first sounds a bit too slow
And how could we forget Public Enemy's snazzy "He Got Game" sampling the original?
