A Beta-Alpha-Cal Glance At My Favorite 10 Albums From 2008
Two Mondays left in 2008. Two more albums to post.

When I saw The Felice Brothers at the Philly Folk Fest, they closed their set with the Townes Van Zandt song “Two Hands”. And it hit me like a derailed train: The Felice Brothers are Townes with an outstanding backup band where everyone sings.
Townes wrote some of the greatest songs of the 20th century. If The Felice Bros hang in there, they will probably write some of the greatest songs of the 21st.
Listen:
The Felice Brothers ∞ Frankie’s Gun

1 hullabaloos:
It is amazing how The Felice Brothers flew under so many radars. I had the good fortune of seeing them in September. They played heart-wrenching songs with a passion that is too often missing with other bands. Also, "Frankie's Gun" was probably my favorite song of the year.
